Do regret and shame over your failures, sins, and shortcomings make you wonder how you could ever be loved, much less used, by a holy God? Tracie Miles felt the same way until she discovered the path to healing, peace, and significance.
She helps you recognize that God not only has a purpose for you, but He has prepared you for your divine purpose based specifically on the experiences of your past.
Through her own story and stories from other women who have discovered God's purpose for their lives because of adverse experiences, Tracie helps you see how God can turn pain into purpose. You will find forgiveness and healing from the troubles of your past, discover the courage to step out of your comfort zone to help others find hope and strength, and be inspired to step into the beautiful future God divinely designed for you.

My take:
I requested to review Your Life Still Counts by Tracie Miles Because of the subtitle: How God uses your past to create a beautiful future. I requested this book in hopes that it would help me in my journey to better understand Gods character and teach me to move beyond my past. Tracie's book contains not only her story, but also the stories of many women who have walked through difficult trials and broken pieces. I expessialy enjoyed reading the testimonies of other women included after each chapter. Tracie gets real with her readers affording them the opportunity to see that it is okay to have made mistakes. She highlight the importance of moving forward from those mistakes and allowing God to turn your past into a purpose. To reach into lives of others and ultimately bring Him glory.
A few quotes from the book:
"It's time to stop allowing yesterday's mistakes to weigh down your past, stifle your present, and hold you back from your future purpose."
"So many lives have been damaged by the evil in this world. So many women share struggles that evoke insecurity, pain, Shane, regreat, sadness, guilt, and worthlessness. So many women think they are all alone. . . That they are the only one with s shameful secret or skeleton in the closet. . . The only one who can't get past the pain. . . The only one who has made a mistake. . . The only one who can't forgive herself. . . The only one who was violated or hurt. . . The only one who believes she has no purpose Imin life. But once women she countless others on blended knee, surrendering their pain, it becomes obvious that are not alone. And they often also realize that God actually never left them. He has been with them always even when they didn't feel or sense His presence."
* I received a free copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
